BIOGRAPHY
Originally a grafitti artist, Tattoo Adam hails from Milwaukee, Wisconsin
where he started tattooing in 1994. After a year and a half of apprenticeship,
Adam launched his career at Accents In Ink, learning the fundamental aspects of tattoo work and developing his skill level. In 1997 Adam moved to Las Vegas,NV where he worked in the Las Vegas Strip tattooing at Diversity. Here Adam enjoyed exposure to other artists and the experience of working in a busy tourist oriented shop, not to mention the celebrity clientelle, thanks to which Adam can say he's tattooed the legendary Mike Tyson. Around this time Adam made his first trip to Japan where he recieved a tattoo by Japanese tattoo master Horiyoshi III. Needless to say, it was an inspirational experience. In 1999 Tattoo Adam moved to Honolulu where he could escape the flashy routine in Las Vegas and focus on building his custom portfolio. In Hawaii built up a modest amount of business mostly through his connections in the low rider comunity. He was one of the first artists to help open Tattoolicious on McCully Blvd. There, he concentrated on his custom work until the shop
integrated body art and hair styling. Adam moved to Aloha Tattoo on Ala
Moana Blvd. in 2002. After almost a year and a half of tattooing flash
on tourists there, Tattoo Adam called on his custom clientelle for support
and walked away, with goals to open his own studio. In May of 2004 he opened
a private studio where he now does quality, custom tattoo work by apointment
only. The small studio is sterile, health department approved, and located
in Sugarbox at 1407 Kalakaua Ave. in Honolulu.
